Changing face of Communication- Are we keeping up?

From the title let me just get things straight- I have not been able to keep up with so many developments! I have revisited my blog after a gap of almost two years! What happened in between- Facebook, Twitter...well i have tried both...reasonably OK! But what worries me is the traditional mediums still remain as is. Are we pushing the envelope on that? Guess not. Just the other day a friend in the communications field asked whether I knew about companies using Facebook or Social Networking sites for corporate purposes. My answer was Yes!! Only thing is in India we are just scratching the surface of the online medium...we do have groups or fan clubs (online), but only few measurable options. Traditionalists are mostly naysayers....but others who dare to explore are seeing the benefits!!
